Each of the Nousaku tin sake cups are crafted by skilled artisans. These substantial cups are cast using a sand mold that leaves a gently textured finish. Chosen for its resistance to oxidation and corrosion, tin’s ionic effect removes bitterness, giving sake a mellow and rich taste. The set includes two pure tin cups. The inside of one cup in each set is finished with kinpaku or gold leaf. Presented in a wooden gift box and perfect for celebrating.

History:
Located in the historical city of Takaoka, Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture has a 400-year history of metal casting. Utilizing casting techniques handed down from generation to generation, Nousaku was established in 1916 primarily as a producer of Buddhist altar equipment, tea utensils, and flower vases. In recent years, the company has turned its focus to tableware, interior goods, and lighting fixtures, breaking the mold of a traditional industry by making products to complement modern lifestyles.

Care Instructions:
Wash with a mild detergent using a soft sponge.
Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee. Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
